Janet Jackson's Plastic Surgery Transformation: How Far?

Janet Jackson has been the subject of plastic surgery speculation for years. The singer has been accused of going 'overboard' with cosmetic procedures, with experts claiming she's had a facelift, nose job, fillers, botox, eyelid surgery, and breast augmentation.

Facelift

Janet Jackson has long been rumoured to have had plastic surgery, with speculation that she has had a facelift, nose job, fillers, botox, eyelid surgery, an eyebrow lift, breast augmentation, and laser skin resurfacing.

Dr Dennis Schimpf of Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery in South Carolina, who has not treated Jackson, told RadarOnline.com:

> The most striking differences that I see initially are with Janet's nose and eyes. Most recently, I would say that her face has changed dramatically and I believe that she's had eyelid surgery, otherwise known as Blepharoplasty, as well as an eyebrow lift. Janet's nose also appears to have undergone a significant transformation and she has a much smaller nose now as a result of rhinoplasty.

Dr Tim Sayed, a double board-certified plastic surgeon in Newport Beach, California, agreed with Dr Schimpf's opinion, adding that Jackson appears to have had fillers in her face, particularly in her cheeks, as well as a lot of botox and possible laser skin resurfacing.

Dr Youn also suspects that Jackson has had botox injected into her face, especially her forehead and smile lines, and that she has had a facelift, which could explain her tight and clean jawline.

Nose job

Janet Jackson has had a nose-narrowing surgery, which is apparent in photos. Plastic surgeons have also commented that she has had breast implants.

In 2011, doctors urged Jackson to stop having plastic surgeries, saying that she has had enough and that she should settle into a healthy routine. They also advised her to stop yo-yo dieting, which can create unhealthy levels of stress on the body.

One plastic surgeon, Dr Val Lambros of Newport Beach, said that Jackson "looks great except for the nose". Another plastic surgeon commented that Jackson has "aged very gracefully" and that her "overall appearance is quite natural". They also said that Jackson's "nose has been shaped".

Botox

It is rumoured that Janet Jackson has had a lot of plastic surgery. One source claims that she has had a facelift, nose job, fillers, botox and more. Another source claims that she has had eyelid surgery, an eyebrow lift, rhinoplasty, a facelift, fillers and botox.

The effects of Botox typically last for three to four months, after which time the muscles will begin to move again and the wrinkles may reappear. However, with repeated treatments, the effects of Botox can last longer.

It is not known how much Botox Janet Jackson has had, but it is suspected that she has had a significant amount injected into her forehead and smile lines.

In her book, *True You*, Jackson traces her unhappiness with her body back to 1979, when she was an 11-year-old with early-developing breasts on the TV show *Good Times*. Many plastic surgeons agree that she later got breast implants.
